Mommy Monday: Kate’s Story

Each week, I’ll share the story of a mother. Not just any mother, but a mother that surpassed the odds, a mother that overcame, a mother that didn’t give up, a mother that believed that the Lord had plans for her family. These are the stories of mothers after infertility when her precious miracle entered her world. May these stories inspire you, give you hope, and encourage you to keep believing for your miracle.

I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THIS WEEK’S FEATURED MOMMY MONDAY. MEET KATE HOGOBOOM. THIS IS HER STORY:

We started TTC in summer 2014 after my doctor told us that in her opinion, we didn't have much time to waste. I was only 24 but based on the complications I was having, she said I'd have an early hysterectomy. In October of 2015, we found out my husband had MFI. We moved to seeing an RE and did multiple rounds of injectable IUI. We were told that IVF would be our best option but we felt strongly that we would rather adopt than pursue that. It was our last IUI before moving to adoption that we became blessed with a pregnancy in late fall 2016. Pregnancy was a roller coaster and delivery wound up being an emergency C-section.

But our son was born healthy, incredibly strong and an absolute miracle. God moved mountains for us to have our son – financially, physically and emotionally.

He was our rock on the darkest days that completely overwhelmed us. He was our shield when more and more discouragement, despair and bad news kept coming. And he was our miracle worker when I finally got pregnant and kept our son safe thru pregnancy.

Infertility is by far the hardest thing I've ever gone thru, but He proved over and over again that He is steadfast.
