Mommy Monday: Ashley’s Story

Each week, I’ll share the story of a mother. Not just any mother, but a mother that surpassed the odds, a mother that overcame, a mother that didn’t give up, a mother that believed that the Lord had plans for her family. I WANT TO INTRODUCE YOU TO THIS WEEK’S FEATURED MOMMY MONDAY. MEET ASHLEY SWERTFAGER. THIS IS HER STORY:

My name is Ashley Swertfager and I’m a mom to twin baby girls named Faith Anne and Grace Ella.

After years of infertility, failed IVF cycles and waiting for our miracle God not only did that but double blessed us. We did a total of 5 IVF transfers and two resulted in pregnancy but unfortunately one was a miscarriage on our first cycle and the other three never worked. We were broken hearted, to say the least.

But now that my miracles are earth side I can see that God was faithful the entire time we just had to suffer some trials before getting to the prize.

Infertility and miscarriage are apart of our story but no longer ashamed from it.

God uses broken ashes and transforms them to something so beautiful. I’m thankful for the long and hard seasons of infertility because it has made me appreciate this season of motherhood so much. I’m forever thankful for Grace and Faith and the rainbows that came from a hard storm.
